The liver regulates most chemical levels in the blood and excretes a product called bile. This helps carry away waste products from the liver. All the blood leaving the stomach and intestines passes through the liver. The liver processes this blood and breaks down, balances, and creates the nutrients and also metabolizes drugs into forms that are easier to use for the rest of the body or that are nontoxic. More than 500 vital functions have been identified with the liver. Some of the more well-known functions include the following:

Production of bile, which helps carry away waste and break down fats in the small intestine during digestion

Production of certain proteins for blood plasma

Production of cholesterol and special proteins to help carry fats through the body

Conversion of excess glucose into glycogen for storage (glycogen can later be converted back to glucose for energy) and to balance and make glucose as needed

Regulation of blood levels of amino acids, which form the building blocks of proteins

Processing of hemoglobin for use of its iron content (the liver stores iron)

Conversion of poisonous ammonia to urea (urea is an end product of protein metabolism and is excreted in the urine)

Clearing the blood of drugs and other poisonous substances

Regulating blood clotting

Resisting infections by making immune factors and removing bacteria from the bloodstream

Clearance of bilirubin, also from red blood cells. If there is an accumulation of bilirubin, the skin and eyes turn yellow.

When the liver has broken down harmful substances, its by-products are excreted into the bile or blood. Bile by-products enter the intestine and leave the body in the form of feces. Blood by-products are filtered out by the kidneys, and leave the body in the form of urine.

Again you do not have to be clean 100 percent of the time. Best advice is make sure 80 percent of your day you are eating healthy wholesome fruits, vegetables, grains and clean meat. We are not expecting anyone to be vegan. Cause even vegans are unhealthy. Just being vegan doesn’t stop disease from happening. There is more vegan junk food than any kind of other junk food.

Remember you are what you eat. And you will feel like exactly what you eat.

We hear a lot about sodium but we need to also talk about POTASSIUM

It’s entirely possible to get enough potassium in your diet but many women are burning through it quickly due to:

The way we look at pathogenic illness needs to evolve. These microscopic invaders are usually not trying to kill us—to the contrary—they are generally fulfilling a role in the body that our body can’t fill on its own.

For example, when iron is unmanaged, it wreaks havoc in our tissues, causing inflammation and oxidative stress. Fungal infections may proliferate in such conditions to prevent the damage. In this example, the iron is taken up by the fungus to prevent the harmful effects to us. This is an example of our body making the choice to allow a pathogen as a better alternative to letting iron go unmanaged.

At the same the time the body may try to hide iron from places where a pathogenic infection could spell disaster, such as in the blood. This will look like anemia to most doctors, who will give patients iron, the very thing the body was trying to hide.

Gallbladder disease includes inflammation, infection, stones or blockage of the gallbladder. The gallbladder is a sac located under the liver. It stores and concentrates bile produced in the liver. Bile aids in the digestion of fat and is released from the gallbladder into the upper small intestine in response to food (especially fats). Types of gallbladder disease include:

- Cholecystitis (inflammation of the gallbladder)
- #gallstones
- Chronic acalculous gallbladder disease (in which the natural movements needed to empty the gallbladder do not work well)
- Gangrene or abscesses
- Growths of tissue in the gallbladder
- Congenital defects of the gallbladder
- Sclerosing cholangitis
- Tumors of the #gallbladder and bile ducts

Between 1 percent and 3 percent of people with symptomatic gallstones develop inflammation in the gallbladder (acute cholecystitis), which occurs when stones or sludge block the duct. The symptoms are similar to those of biliary colic but are more persistent and severe. They include pain in the upper right abdomen that is severe and constant and may last for days. Pain frequently increases when drawing a breath. About a third of patients have fever and chills. Nausea and vomiting may occur.

Oxybenzone can also react with chlorine, producing hazardous by-products that can concentrate in swimming pools and wastewater treatment plants. Moreover, adverse reactions could very well be increased by the closed loop of ingesting fish contaminated with oxybenzone and/or washing the ingredient off our bodies and having it return in drinking water as treatment plants do not effectively remove the chemical as part of their processing protocols."⁣

Or how about this coming from the journal Reproductive Toxicology: "Oxybenzone is a ultraviolet (UV) absorber used in 70% of sunscreen products, is a recognized endocrine disrupting chemical (EDC) and is small enough to pass through skin and placenta barriers. There’s a great documentary called Toxic Beauty that is worth watching.

So this is different than a mineral sunscreen right? Like a zinc oxide based sunscreen (cause that what I use on my baby🫣)

This correlation is like many other correlations in our growing population. It’s illusory. I’m not claiming that oxybenzone is a great substance but there are a lot of reasons skin cancer rates have gone up such as better skin cancer detection, people getting more sun exposure, and people living longer. Skin cancer rates have been going up since well before the introduction of oxybenzone. Correlation is a very tricky thing. It’s almost useless to correlate things like this.

It is no mistake that chronic disease is skyrocketing as toxins are accumulating in our environment.

In our country, we are in a situation where our food supply, water supply, household products, and even air is extremely toxic to the human body.

We were not build for these amounts of chemical toxins.

When we accumulate these chemical toxins, our body loses it’s ability to fight off endotoxins and bio toxins as it is designed to.

And so many times you will hear, “Oh it’s just a little chlorine, or just a little fluoride, or just a minuscule amount of aluminum.”

On an already stressed individual (which, unless you are actively detoxing daily, is everyone), a little here and there adds up.

Why does one person get sick immediately and the person next to them is fine for now?

It all depends on what their current “toxic load” is.

It depends on their drainage and detoxification ability.

While it may not affect two people in the same way, it is affecting their bodies systemically- and eventually will show in the form of symptoms down the road.

Liver ability, nutrient status, medications, previous exposure, gut integrity all of these things matter and when we are struggling in one area, a little exposure can be A LOT on the the body systemically!

Like I always say, if you aren’t detoxing, you are accumulating, and this is not to incite fear, but rather to empower.

We are not taught by Western medicine to support detoxification or drainage.

We are not given the nutrients that will be depleted along with the prescriptions we are handed.

We are not taught to take drainage and detoxification practices into our own hands daily to help maintain our current state of health.

We also aren’t told how toxic our environments are, and way to mitigate our exposures.

If I were to start today, what would I recommend to someone to lower their exposure?

Control the things that you can in your own environment.

Clean up your water supply.

Clean up your food supply.

Clean your air in your home.

Use clean products.

We are not taught to take drainage and detoxification practices into our own hands daily to help maintain our current state of health. 

We also aren’t told how toxic our environments are, and way to mitigate our exposures.

If I were to start today, what would I recommend to someone to lower their exposure?

Control the things that you can in your own environment.

Clean up your water supply.

Clean up your food supply.

Clean your air in your home.

Use clean products.

Public healthcare doctors may as well carry a scythe as opposed to a syringe. I would respect them more if they made their intentions clear.

So hay, what’s the deal with the gallbladder & how does it contribute to metabolic, hormone & gut health?

Your gallbladder is a small organ located right underneath of your liver. Its primary job is to store bile for later use in the body & digestive tract.

Bile is made by the LIVER. From there, it’s sent to the gallbladder to be stored & concentrated for further use/when needed in the digestive tract.

Now, your bile is like a POWER liquid. It’s a liquid found in the liver & intestines that is responsible for emulsifying fats, breaking up heavy metals & destroying unwanted, “bad” bacteria.

In addition to its main responsibilities, the gallbladder is responsible for:

🌿Absorbing fat soluble vitamins
🌿Stimulating enzymes
🌿Binds to inactive hormones
🌿Giving stool its color
🌿Regulating & improving peristalsis (involuntary constriction & relaxation of the muscles in the intestine)

These are TONS of jobs to perform! In order to properly achieve these tasks, the gallbladder’s bile needs to be thin & easily flowing. When the bile becomes thick & tar-like, our body can fall into lots of issues. Specifically, this might look like…
